Sub Specie Aeternitatis not only translates "under the aspect of eternity" but is also the title of a drawing. This drawing and two others will be in the digital art show at the Science Online 2012 conference taking place at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Since 2007, the Research Triangle area of North Carolina has hosted a conference concerning how the World Wide Web is changing the way science is communicated, taught, and done.
In "Sub Specie Aeternitatis" one sees the "big picture" from ants to planets. The drawing indicates a human presence as well.
The other two drawings in the SciOn12 conference show are "Fearful Symmetries" and "Juncture," all three drawings are in my JAlbum portfolio.
I'm a visual artist. I found out how to make a circle into a square through a hexagon. It's a binary design of 4 that is a shape of a heart. The reason why I found you is I have been influenced by Spinoza.
ReplyDeleteI am Timothy Kulik, but it will show up as Rosa Hubbard Kulik who is my wife.
Love the idea, sounds intriguing. No surprise that you have an interest in Spinoza, the rationalist philosopher who presented his ethical program in a Euclidean structure of axioms and theorems, QED. Certainly there is a math connection between your design and his ideas, I think. Good luck in your work!
